The KCR-5, or Keats Compact Rifle - Mark V, is a gun manufactured by Keats' Firearms in 2028. In 2039 it is used by both the U.S. Military and can be bought by civilians for personel use.
This version of the KCR is simply a bit of an update of the last version from 2037.
The KCR is, as it's name suggests, compact. It is very small, very light, and very acurate, and has a reflex sight. It is semi-automatic and has a 16 round magazine. It's maximum ammunition count is 86. It has very high damage and is useful in early to midrounds. At high rounds it becomes a "if I have too" weapon. It no longer is effective by round 12.
