The Flamethrower was created after the Flamethrower attachment was created in 1964. The CIA authorized the manufacturing of the Flamethrower. It was tested at the Pentagon by scientists, just like the Sound Pistol and Winter's Howl. Not much more is known of the Flamethrower. The CIA spent $200,000 on the weapon.
The Flamethrower was in service with the CIA from 1965 to 1966, the height of the Cold War. However, it saw absolutely no combat, as it was replaced by its cousin (the Flamethrower attachment).
The Flamethrower scored low on all its tests. Due to this, the CIA disgraced the weapon. The Flamethrower looks extremely similar to the Flamethrower attachment, but a pistol grip has been added. It is reloaded/loaded exactly the same as the attachment. When fired, a continuess stream of flame is produced. The flame does the same damage as an FIW Nitrogen Cooled, the upgraded M2 Flamethrower. When the weapon is reloaded/loaded, the remaining flame is somehow recycled into a another canister.
Unfortunately, the Flamethrower is restricted to only two seconds of flame. Also, any player standing in front of the Flamethrower when it is fired is instantly downed if they do not have Juggernog or PhD Flopper.
The Flamethrower can be upgraded via the Pack-a-Punch Machine to become to "The Incinerator". The Incinerator has four seconds of flame, and is even more deadly. The reload time is also shortened by half a second.
