The Thompson is an American submachine gun that appears in all canon maps of Call of Duty: World at War and all World at War maps of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The Gibs-o-Matic
Overview[]
The Thompson can be bought off the wall and from the Mystery Box. It possesses a high rate of fire, great accuracy, moderate power, and low recoil. It is great in most situations and can be used in early and mid rounds, and maybe later rounds if still going for headshots. If going for headshots, the player can rack up kills, as well as many points in one round, which will benefit them. Also, ammo is off the wall, so there's no need to hit the Mystery Box over and over (if the Thompson is kept).
Pack-a-Punched Variant[]
The Pack-a-Punched Thompson becomes the "Gibs-o-Matic," possessing more ammo, more rounds per magazine, and more power. Like before, it should be used to score headshots in order to get points as well as kills. However, if used carelessly, it can run out of ammo before the player knows it, and they will find themselves with an empty gun.
